Jet2 flight makes emergency landing in Malta after pilot is taken ill

Flight was headed to Malta from Bristol

An aircraft headed to Malta from Bristol made an emergency landing at Luqa on Thursday after the pilot fell ill.

Times of Malta confirmed that flight LS1877 landed safely and no one was injured.

According to flightaware.com and Flight Radar, the Jet2 flight arrived at the Malta International Airport just after 2.30pm. Its scheduled time of arrival was 2.40pm.
