Children celebrated International Children's Day yesterday doing what they love most - playing, chattering ten to the dozen, singing, dancing and riding horses at the Ta' Qali picnic area.

Several families took part in the activities held on this occasion.

Social Solidarity Minister Dolores Cristina and Education Minister Louis Galea, who concluded the activity, spoke of the importance of having policies that safeguarded children's future.

The Commissioner for Children, Carmen Zammit, mingled with the youngsters, commenting that children knew how to express themselves better these days.
