Police probe officers' conduct during traffic accident

The police are investigating how a number of policemen acted during a traffic accident in Żejtun on Tuesday night when a doctor and his ambulance crew were allegedly attacked physically in spite of the police presence.

The case was reported in yesterday's edition of l-orizzont which said that the attack occurred in spite of the presence of a police sergeant and three constables. The newspaper said the sergeant had told the crew to leave, once the woman did not require their services. He did likewise to a reporter.

According to the police, the investigation was launched as soon as the doctor filed his complaint on Wednesday morning.
