The fallout of the transport strike (4)

May I suggest to the Prime Minister to show thugs that Malta is right behind him by calling a massive mass meeting at the Granaries and show them that the government will never give in to them.

The government achieved all its aims in one fell swoop.

There is no need for mass meetings. The PM & Cabinet know that the people are behind them and provoking an otherwise dead issue is stirring the hornets' nest again.

The PM has other important issues to deal with including the transport reform, the shipyards privatization, electoral and parliamentary reforms etc.

I think that this matter has to be wrapped up by the Police, booking as many of the thugs as can be identified and bringing them to justice and for our judiciary system to file 'niceties' temporarily in a remote place until all the trials are over.

Cells at Corradino may have to be temporarily converted to 'Double Occupancy' but the inconvenience would not come close to what these fools inflicted (without cause) on the general public.

Maybe a 'Single Occupancy' cell can be found for el capo bandito of the Transport Federation who most probably will later be dealt with by his own faithful bus drivers who he so encouraged to cripple our economy.

So having the roads leading to Valletta and all of Floriana cordoned off is OK now as long it is for a mass meeting. Selfishness at its best!

I fully agree with Mr Paul Abela. A union's logo is 'Fl-ghaqda s-sahha' and for the past four days Malta was one. And it gave a lesson to the thugs who think that they can do whatever they like whenever they want.
