A 29-year-old man from Marsa was granted bail yesterday after pleading not guilty to stealing under €1,164.69 worth of items from a garage on Monday.

Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona heard how Jurgen Xerri allegedly stole the items from a garage in Mqabba.

The accused also pleaded not guilty to relapsing.

After taking into consideration the value of the items allegedly stolen, the court granted Mr Xerri bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000.

Police Inspector Carlos Cordina prosecuted.
