As I heard so much praise and good comments from locals and tourists alike regarding the Iljieli Mellieħin held for the first time on September 12, 13 and 14, I felt I had to put pen to paper and publicly congratulate and sincerely thank the mayor, Robert Cutajar, and the Mellieħa local council for a brilliant idea. Organising such an event involves a lot of planning, great responsibility and commitment.

A big thanks also to the numerous people involved in the event for their hard work and cooperation.

This shows that whatever our political views are, we can still work together as a whole team. The input and cooperation of everyone involved made it such a wonderful and unforgettable event and an example for other local councils to follow. I hope and pray that this could become an annual event. To sum up, I would say you did us proud. Thank you, well done and may God bless you all and your good work.
