EC English Language Centres has acquired a school in Manhattan, New York, its third in the United States. The school first purchased property in Boston last year and in San Diego earlier this year.
EC, a Maltese-owned group of language schools, also owns property in Malta, in London, Cambridge, Brighton and Cape Town.
The school employs about 100 full-timers, over 60 part-timers and hundreds of summer part-timers.
CEO Andrew Mangion said the company is confident the school in New York will become its flagship school in America because of its prime location.
