Youssouf Toumkara, a Mali national, has been jailed for three months for having last December left Malta without the necessary travel documents.

He was arrested by the police in Sicily and sent back to Malta after he was found in possession of a temporary Maltese ID card.

Mr Toumkara pleaded guilty.
