Amir Michael, hardware design manager of Facebook, introduces Facebook’s new server during the media event, ‘Behind the Scenes’ to show the latest technology powering Facebook at their headquarters in Palo Alto, California. Heiliger said Facebook is sharing technical specifications and design documents that went into creating Facebook’s improved efficiency in data centres and servers, which benefits include a 38 per cent increase in energy efficiency and 24 per cent cost savings.
