A national debate on the extraordinary immigration flow from Libya due to the crisis there was held on Wednesday by The Times, at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian's.

The main speakers were Home Affairs and Justice Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici, Labour spokesman on migration Michael Falzon, and UNHCR-Malta head Jon Hoisaeter.

The debate was led by Herman Grech, deputy editor of The Sunday Times.
