Joseph Calleja’s third solo album has reached second overall position on the German charts.

The Maltese Tenor was released in Germany on May 20.

The new album was also released in Italy and will be released in the US in autumn.

The album features some of the best pieces in the tenor’s repertoire, including E lucevan le stelle from Tosca, the ballad of Kleinzach from The Tales of Hoffmann and arias from La Bohème, Simon Boccanegra, Faust, Manon, The Pearl Fishers and more.

Calleja has just ended a series of performances by Puccini: La Boheme: Rodolfo at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich.
