Cisk Export Premium Lager Beer, brewed and bottled by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, was recently awarded a silver medal at the International Beer Challenge 2011 held in the UK.
For the last 15 years, the International Beer Challenge, organised by Off Licence News ofthe UK, has attracted entries from over 30 countries and has rewarded excellent beers.
The competition involves a rigorous and independent judging process with over 50 judges from around the world and across the industry.
Head of marketing and communications at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc Susan Weenink said: “The award is another significant achievement for Cisk Export and one which recognises its excellent quality, as well as the unwavering commitment of the company to delivering quality products. The award will surely raise the brand’s profile.”
Around 60 beers took part in the competition.
Cisk Export has won other awards in the past. In 1998, the beer was awarded a gold medal in the Australian International Beer Awards; in 2002 it won a gold medal in the European Style Pilsner category of the World Beer Cup, held by the Association of Brewers in the US; and a gold award in the international section of the Australian International Beer Awards.
