A Sudanese man who was assaulted and badly beaten up in Paceville early on Saturday morning, has died.
The police are still seeking the idenity of two men suspected of having been involved.
Osama Al Shzliaoy, the 26-year-old victim, resided in Gżira and was known as 'sunshine' by his friends.
He worked at Preluna Hotel for some time and left employment to study to become a doctor. All the employees who knew him are deeply shocked at the news.
Mr Alo Shzliaoy was critically injured after being knocked to the ground outside a nightclub, suffering serious head injuries. He passed away when life support machines were switched off.
It is understood that Mr Alo Shzliaoy was with friends on Paceville’s main road sometime after 6 a.m. when the group bumped into two Romanian men coming from the other direction.
According to a witness, Mr Shzliaoy fell to the ground and the two men ran off leaving him in a pool of blood.
