A new book was recently launched at Vajrinġa public library, Victoria, to mark the 125th anniversary of the title ‘city’ conferred on Victoria.

Victoria, A Portrait of a City, edited by Fr Charles Cini, SDB, written by Joseph Bezzina with photography and design by Daniel Cilia, vividly describes the story of Victoria and its people from the first human settlement in the Neolithic Period until the present time.

The book was commissioned by the Victoria council.

An edition of the book, printed by the Salesians of Don Bosco, was also published in Italian, called Victoria, Ritratto di una Citta.
