EC, the Maltese-owned English language school chain, has been shortlisted for two prestigious LTM Star Awards. The awards are voted for by industry peers.
This year, EC has been nominated in the category for ‘Junior Course for Under-18s’ and in the ‘Chain school – over five centres’ shortlist. EC won both awards last year.
Since 2007, EC has been a finalist at the LTM Star Awards nine times, winning LTM Star Innovation of the Year Award in 2009 for its EC Malta Freestyle Programme and in 2010 for its Club 30+ programme.
Voting has now closed and winners will be announced at a ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane on September 1, which is attended by more than 800 industry personnel and stakeholders from around the world.
“Our LTM Star Awards nominations are a reflection of our positive relationships with our colleagues, partners and students,” EC executive chairman Andrew Mangion said this week.
“By differentiating ourselves with innovative programmes and stylish facilities, we have been able to build a strong and trusted brand. Over the past six years, we have been nominated for awards in a variety of categories, thanks to the all-round quality of our programmes.”
Earlier this year, EC acquired three schools in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver and opened two new schools in Miami and Los Angeles.
The company plans to continue to expand throughout the upcoming year. EC now operates a total of 16 schools in Canada, Malta, South Africa, the UK and the US.
