The hamlet of Santa Lucija near Kercem in Gozo yesterday held a spectacular fjakkolata to mark the last apparition of Our Lady in Fatima. 
More than 1,300 fjakkoli were lit on Ghar Ilma hill, overlooking Santa Lucija.
Anthony Grech, who took these pictures, says this tradition has existed for decades.
