The Malta-based EC Group of language schools will be opening a school within the campus of the State University of New York on August 25 to coincide with the beginning of the university’s fall semester.
EC’s students will be fully immersed both academically and socially in an all-American university campus lifestyle, while raising their language level at an English school with a global reputation for excellence in the EFL sector.
Having already experienced significant growth this year with the opening of EC Manchester in May, EC said it anticipates further expansion in the language travel industry, in particular through on-campus ventures.
Executive chairman Andrew Mangion said EC’s 19th centre worldwide showed a departure from the traditional city centre focus.
“Through listening to the needs and demands of our students and partners, and several years of research into the US higher education market, we are happy to have secured our first host institution agreement with such a well-recognised university.”
Founded in Malta in 1991, EC English Language Centres today owns and operates 19 language schools in five countries, with seven schools in the US including EC New York in Times Square, Manhattan.
