Fuel prices in Malta did not reflect what was happening all over the world where these were going down dramatically because of the drop in the cost of oil, the Nationalist Party said.

In a statement the PN said that the fuel prices in Malta remained among the highest in Europe and the measly reduction of 1c on diesel and 2c on unleaded petrol was confirmation that the state was stealing from its people.

Several recent studies also showed that the prices in Malta remained among the highest in Europe, the PN said adding that the government should immediately publish its oil purchase agreement and reduce fuel prices for the benefit of Maltese and Gozitan families.
