The Parliament Magazine has shortlisted Maltese MEP Miriam Dalli as one of the five best new MEPs, the Labour Party said.
The category of "Best New MEP" acknowledges the significant contribution of those MEPs who stand out from the rest during the initial months of their mandate. The Best New MEP will be announced in an event marking achievements by MEPs in different areas. The event is organised annually by The Parliament Magazine, an EU publication which focuses on European Parliament affairs and the Parliamentary work undertaken by Members of the European Parliament.
Dalli has just been appointed as rapporteur in the Environment Committee on a legislative dossier focusing on the setting up of the European strategic Investment Fund. This fund is the cornerstone of EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker's Investment plan for the boosting of the European economy and jobs.
