The Nationalist Party has filed a protest with Public Broadcasting Services claiming that a news report that work on the power station was according to plan was false.

In its complaint the PN noted that had this been the case, the plant would be in operation next month and not in 16 months as the station had claimed.

The PN said this was a deceitful strategy to support the government and the station should correct the false news it had broadcast.

A spokesman for PBS rejected the Nationalist Party's "deceitful and unfounded" claims that it was supporting the government.

"PBS will always keep news value in mind, and we will remain loyal towards the truth."

The PN's protest can be read in the pdf link below.
