Works on phase three of the National Flood Relief Project in Lija and on phase four of the project in Birkirkara will continue tomorrow starting at 9.30am, Transport Malta said.

The works in Lija are scheduled to be completed within three days, those in Birkirkara on April 2.

Transport Malta siad part of Triq il-Wied, Balzan - from Triq Ġulju Cauchi to Triq Wiġi Muscat, will be closed to traffic

All vehicular traffic coming from Balzan towards Mosta will be diverted to Triq Ġulju Cauchi, onto Triq Dun Ġwann Żammit Hammet, onto Triq L-Għerusija onto Triq Wiġi Muscat, and proceed towards Iklin roundabout and onto Triq in-Naxxar.

In Birkirkara, Triq il-Mitħna will be closed to traffic due to the excavation of culverts along the road. Triq Naxxar will be opened to traffic in both directions until further notice.

Motorists should proceed with caution and to follow signage on site.
