A 36-year-old man from Siggiewi is in a critical condition after he slipped and fell from a height of about two metres at a construction site at Triq is-Sisla in Birkirkara at 4pm.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries which could lead to loss of life, the police said.
