Three Romanians are to be arraigned at the Gozo Court today charged with theft from Tresor D’Or jewellery in Palm Street, Victoria on August 26. 

The Romanians arrived in Gozo on August 25, crossed to Malta after the burglary and left Malta a day later.

CCTV footage showed how a shop assistant was distracted while the thieves helped themselves to gold and silver items.

One of the men was seen twice stealing items from a showcase.

The police issued an international arrest warrant which led to the Romanians' return under arrest.
