A Jordanian policeman opened fire on American contractors at a police training centre in Amman, killing two and injuring three.

The fatal shooting took place on the outskirts of the Jordanian capital this morning, according to the government-owned Al-Rai newspaper.

The report said security agencies have launched an investigation, adding that it is not yet clear whether the shooting was intentional.
