The Australian city of Sydney has started clearing up after a rare typhoon swept through, bringing high winds and cricket-ball sized hail stones. 

The storm packed winds of more than 200 kilometres an hour. 

About 6,000 homes were left without power.

Some homes and businesses were damaged but no serious injuries were reported
