The next Malta Squash tournament will be held at the Cynergi Health & Fitness Club on January 23.

Play will start at 9.30am with the Juniors Open followed by the main event for the top senior players in the afternoon.

The A final is expected to start around 4pm. This will be followed by B and C events for intermediate and beginner players.

On January 29-30, Malta Squash, in collaboration with the European Squash Federation (ESF), will be organising an Introductory Squash Refereeing Course.

The course will be given by Marko Podgorsek, a World Squash Federation referee.

“Interest in squash competitions continued to grow over the past couple of months,” the Malta Squash Association said in a statement.

The Scotts National League has now grown to 12 divisions with nearly 80 players taking part, Malta Squash confirmed.

The league is open to players of all levels, from relative beginners in the lower divisions, to intermediate and more ad-vanced players.

There are no fixed dates and times when league matches are played. Players arrange their matches against their opponents in their respective division at a mutually convenient date.

Anyone interested in taking part in any of these events can send an email to info@maltasquash.com.
