Can anyone from Air Malta please explain what the surcharge being imposed on tickets refers to?

If I am not mistaken, initially this represented a fuel surcharge when the price of oil was at the $140 mark. Now that the price is down to $35, this charge should not only be waived but I expected to see a reduction in the price of tickets. I tried to book eight tickets to Copenhagen and Air Malta quoted at €330 per person, where other airlines had a price ranging from €240 to €270.

Why is there such a difference in price? Air Malta offers nothing different or special to other airlines.

Perhaps they can also explain what the recent €44 special offer referred to, as I found no discounted tickets.
