The Court of Appeal presided over by Mr Justice Anthony Ellul has confirmed a judgement in the libel case filed by Richard Cachia Caruana, former permanent representative to the EU  against Joe Grima.

Former Labour Minister Joe Grima, today the Prime Minister’s Tourism Envoy, was found to have libelled Mr Cachia Caruana in comments on Facebook posted in August 2012.

The Court of Appeal confirmed the judgment ordering Mr Grima to pay damages of €5,000 to Richard Cachia Caruana as well as pay for all legal costs.
