A 42-year-old Briton who lives in Sliema was grievously injured this afternoon when the bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car that was being driven by a 50-year-old man from San Gwann, the police said.

He is not in a critical condition.

The accident happened just after 3pm at Triq Telgħet ix-Xemxija in St Paul’s Bay.

The car driver was not injured.
