BISAZZA. On April 18 at Holy Family Home, Naxxar, EMMA, née Paris, widow of Stephen, aged 104, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Carmen, Thérèse and her husband David Underwood and Monica, wife of the late Hugh Zammit, her grandsons Chris Underwood and his wife Alison, Nick Underwood and Peter Zammit, her great-grandchildren Evie, James and Lewis Underwood, cousins, nephews and nieces and other relatives.
The funeral Mass will be said at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, on Wednesday April 20, at 9.30am. Donations to Id-Dar Tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or Mission Fund, Mosta, will be greatly appreciated.

BONNICI. On April 16 at Mater Dei Hospital, MURIEL, née Lanzon, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She is deeply mourned by her children Helga, Nadya and her husband Joseph, Reginald and his wife Carol, Pierre, Maria, widow of her son José, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.15am for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
FENECH GASAN. On April 15, at St James Capua Hospital, RAYMOND, known as Ray Gasan, aged 79, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Marie-Louise née Debono, his children Roberta and her husband Dr Ramon Tonna, Angela and her husband Christian Mifsud, and Richard and his wife Alison née Attard, his grandchildren Philippa and her fiancé Gin Micallef, Raphael, Julian, Francesca, Amy and Robert, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital tomorrow, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
HAIDER. On April 16, JAMAL, of Palestine residing in Pembroke, passed away suddenly at the age of 56. Jamal leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Julie, his beloved daughters Sarah and Yasmin and her partner Jason, his mother Najah, his sisters Zainab and Fida, his brothers Ahmed, Ali and Mohammed, their respective wives and husbands, nephews, nieces and cousins, his in-laws Joseph and Valerie Said, his wife’s sisters and brother, nephews, nieces and cousins, and many close friends and work colleagues. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 4pm for interment at the Mosque in Paola.
HAIDER JAMAL. The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Malta is deeply saddened by the great loss of our colleague and counsellor Jamal Haider who passed away peacefully on Saturday. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Julie and two daughters Yasmin and Sarah. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 4pm today, followed by interment at Paola Mosque at 4.45pm. Condolences will be accepted at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Swieqi tomorrow and Wednesday from 10am until 2pm. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Isabelle née Busuttil, his sister Nathalie, his brother Ernest and his wife Louise, his nephews and niece Kevin Crockford and his wife Sharon, Karyn and her husband Nick Simpson, Andrew and their families, his in-laws George Busuttil and his wife Vera, Yvonne and her husband John Treeby and their respective families, all the members of the Cenacolo Community, of which he formed part, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be held today at 2pm at Għajn Dwieli church, Paola. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
