Muslims who conduct their lives in accordance with the teachings of the true Quran should present no problems to the western world.

The unacceptable face of Islam that we deplore – the subjugation of women and obliging them to cover themselves up the way they do, treating them as inferior and unclean and unworthy of entering paradise, the hatred and killing of Christians and the killing of other Muslims - has nothing to do with the Quran but more to do with blasphemous and sacrilegious imams (Mohammedan priests) who teach a corrupted version of Islam’s holy book.

So why has no fatwa every been decreed against these imams and IS and their ilk?

The Quran’s rules and teachings, many of which would come under civil law in our society, are meant to guide the individual through life to be better prepared, after death, to meet the Creator with confidence. An excellent guide is The Holy Quran, issued by The Islamic Foundation of the UK, with text, translation and commentary by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.

This is a mighty tome because the commentaries and explanations take up more space than the holy text, which is printed in Arabic side by side with the English translation.
