Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has had what he described as 'a good meeting' with new Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern in Vienna.

Topping the agenda were immigration, the economy and Malta's presidency of the EU in the first half of next year.

Both leaders agreed that saving lives should be a priority but the people's realistic - but non-xenophobic - concerns should be heeded.
