Once again during our holiday in Malta, we were fortunate to attend the first concert of the season at the Manoel Theatre on September 30 with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, leader Marcelline Agius, conducted by Brian Schembri. They were performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 4 in G major, Op. 58 and Brahms Symphony No 3 in F major, Op. 90.

It was a superb concert to begin the season, in the grand surroundings of the Manoel. The soloist, Charlene Farrugia, was excellent.

It was a sell-out of course and my thanks, once again, to the box office for helping me book the tickets, as my ability to book tickets online is not improving!

We are also fortunate to be staying at one of the Manoel’s apartments this year so it was very easy to get home.
