A 63-year-old Rabat man was seriously injured this morning when a roof caved in on him. 

The incident happened at a farmhouse in an alleyway off Triq Borg Olivier at around 11.40am, police said. 

Civil Protection Department officials and paramedics were called to the scene, and the man was taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment.
