The acclaimed Bursa Symphony Orchestra from Turkey will be performing at a concert at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on Sunday, March 5. 

In 2012, BRSSO won the Orchestra Of The Year award with votes from more than 200 professionals and the public at the Donizetti Classical Music Awards ceremony.

As the only 'state' orchestra of TurkeyBursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra (BRSSO) has its roots in the String Instruments Chamber Orchestra, which was formed within the Uludağ University and the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality established Winds and Percussion Instruments Ensemble. These two communities were united with the initiative of the university and the municipality, to form the Bursa Symphonic Orchestra.

Among others, the orchestra was responsible for Dağhan Celayir’s short movie The One Note Man in 2008. 

The orchestra will be presenting works by Brahms, among others.
