Many dead in Nigeria pipeline fire
At least 100 people were killed and scores injured when a ruptured fuel pipeline exploded in a suburb of the commercial capital Lagos.
The accident happened after a bulldozer engaged in a roadbuilding project burst the concealed pipeline. A huge fireball swept through homes and schools in Ijegun village, which lies about 50 kms (30 miles) from the the centre of Nigeria's biggest city Lagos.
