Ferrari dominate first practice session
Ferrari dominated the first practice session in a wet Sao Paolo on Friday, with title contender Kimi Raikkonen setting a best time of 1:19.580 over nine laps. Team-mate Felipe Massa was second, 0.482s off the pace after having headed the timesheets earlier on.
Championship leader Lewis Hamilton, trying the track for the first time, was fifth, 1.541s behind the lead. Heikki Kovalainen (Renault) and Nico Roseberg (Williams) separated him from the Ferraris.
Fernando Alonso did just one installation lap and set no time, as did the BMW duo.
