New addition to Toyota RAV-4 range

The RAV-4 is getting a new addition to the range in the form of a sports-orientated SR180. The SR180 is powered exclusively by Toyota's 175bhp D-4D diesel engine, delivering 295lb ft torque meaning it is capable of reaching 62mph in 9.3 seconds. While it has impressive performance figures, the RAV-4 SR180 also boasts a frugal fuel consumption figure of 40.4mpg on the combined cycle. The SR180 is distinguished by its 18-inch alloys underneath extended wheelarches and dark tinted headlamps. Standard features include Integrated Active Drive, which includes Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control and Hill Start Assist, as well as Bluetooth connectivity, rear privacy glass, cruise control and electric sunroof.

Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series revealed

Mercedes has announced details of the new SL 65 AMG Black Series. A hardened version of the new SL, the Black boasts a 6.0-litre V12 bi-turbo engine capable of 670bhp and a massive 737lb ft torque. It gets more muscular styling than the standard SL AMG with large flared wheel arches and rear diffuser fins, reminiscent of the DTM C-Class racing cars. The SL 65 AMG Black will reach 62mph in 3.9 seconds and go on to a top speed of 199mph (limited). An all new suspension set up designed around adjustable coil spring lines is coupled with a wider track and multiple-disc limited-slip differential to provide better traction. Nappa leather, Alcantara and carbon adorn the interior entirely in black, and newly designed AMG bucket seats provide additional support for the drive and passenger.

It stands at 4.08m long, 1.73m wide and 1.62m tall, and borrows styling cues from the C-Crosser and sister car, the C4 Picasso. Citroen says it will boast decent interior space thanks to individually sliding, split folding, rear seats and the front passenger seat will also be able to fold completely flat.
