Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) is a troubleshooter for Federal Express. He is called away to an Asian destination and is able to ride in the "jump seats" of a FedEx jumbo jet crossing the Pacific Ocean, and is the only passenger. During a fierce storm, the plane is blown off-course and ultimately crashes into the ocean. He is washed ashore on a small island. Thus starts his years-long struggle for survival, before being rescued by a passing ship.

Runaway Bride
Thursday, Canale 5, 9.10 p.m.

Graham, who does not have the best opinion about females anyway, writes an offensive column without researching the subject thoroughly. He gets fired the next day for not getting his facts right. His only way back into the business is to do a fact-based report on Maggie and her upcoming fourth wedding attempt, which he predicts will fail again.

The Queen

Following the death of Princess Diana in a car accident in Paris in August 1997, the queen (Helen Mirren) and her family decide they should remain at Balmoral Castle.
