BMW X6 - first sports activity coupé

The new BMW X6, launched locally a few days ago, expands the family of BMW X models, boasting a contemporary design and an innovative concept - it is the world's first sports activity coupé. It combines the elegance and dynamics of a large coupé with the sophistication and versatile interior space of a BMW X model. It also introduces a whole new dimension of sporty driving for a vehicle of this size.

The experience of driving the new BMW X6 all-wheel drive is as unique as the vehicle's concept. This is ensured by another world premiere, a system known as dynamic performance control. This system enables fully variable power distribution on the rear axle, helping the BMW X6 achieve superior agility in bends as well as maximum road-holding and traction.

The BMW X6 comes with a choice of four engines. There is the new V8 twin turbo unit with high precision injection (300 kW/407 hp), which celebrates its world premiere in the BMW X6. There is also the 225 kW/306 hp three-litre six-cylinder in-line engine - also with twin turbo technology and high precision injection - as well as two three-litre straight-six diesel units, one with 210 kW/286 hp (variable twin turbo), and one with 173 kW/235 hp.

All engines used in the BMW X6 combine high power output with exemplary fuel efficiency. Thanks to additional BMW efficient dynamics features like low rolling-resistance tyres, brake energy regeneration and air flap control, the BMW X6 succeeds in achieving lower fuel consumption figures and CO2 values.
