This month's must-see - The family business

The impressive entrance hall to Gallery G.

In the fairly short time it has been in existence Gallery G in Lija has hosted some very prestigious and innovative art exhibitions. And this month they are to give space to yet another novel exhibition. Bloodline will include works by seven contemporary artists, together with those of their distinguished ancestors.

It is fairly natural for artistic talent to be inherited; there are a number of distinguished theatrical families such as the Redgraves, the Lunts and the Barrymores. Music, dance and of course fine art is also transmitted through the generations. Here in Malta there are also many examples of ancestral and sibling talent - and some might say it's high time an exhibition showcasing this was mounted.

The Gallery will be showing works by Antoine and Antoine-Paul Camilleri, Esprit and Simon Barthet, Giuseppe Cali', Mary DePiro and Philippa Bianchi, the brothers Edward and Robert plus Debbie Caruana Dingli, Blanche Sullivan and Anna Grima, Arnold and Nikki Sultana and Victor and Andrew Diacono. This exhibition is supported by Charts Investment Management Service Ltd, Attard & Co and Bank of Valletta, plus further sponsors. It will be open to the public between June 13 and July 3.
