Capital Radio marks 10th anniversary

It's a happy 10th for Capital Radio 88.7FM this year and to celebrate such an important landmark in its history, the radio station is preparing an even bigger event than its usual annual birthday celebration.

The anniversary fell on July 1 but Capital Radio aficionados will have to wait till tomorrow to enjoy a big night out at the Sky Club in St Julians.

The perfect party atmosphere will be provided courtesy of Capital Radio's presenters and a miscellany of favourite music tracks plus two special foreign guests who reached the peak of popularity in the 80s.

Capital Radio's Renald Bugeja says, "From surveys carried out by the station, we found that Samantha Fox is our listeners' most voted artist. So we invited her to make a guest appearance on our 10th Birthday party. Another guest is 80's artist F. R. David, popular for his songs Words and I Need You".
