The orange revolution

Victor Debono, Sharon Spiteri, Valerie Blow and Malcolm Galea

Adrian Buckle's theatre company Unifaun is widely known for presenting cutting-edge theatre productions in a variety of spaces around Malta. But, until now, they are yet to produce a play aimed specifically at children. Yellow Orange therefore will be breaking new ground for Unifaun when it runs between July 21 and August 1 at Sophie's Space, Convent of the Sacred Heart, St Julian's. .

We are told that Yellow Orange is a play about friendship in adversity. A group of youngsters manage to make friends despite having the psychological and physical barrier of a wall which divides their two nations. The play is actually a collaboration between Mr Buckle and actor and educator Phillip Stilon.

Yellow Orange will be directed by Marcelle Theuma and her cast will comprise Sharon Bezzina, Victor Debono, Valerie Blow and Malcolm Galea. There will be two performances daily, the first at 9.30 a.m and the second at 10.45 a.m.

Booking is via Unifaun on or by phone on 7905 6558.
