Paulina Vella, of Valletta, recently celebrated her 100th birthday, surrounded by family and friends. Mass was celebrated by Fr John Charlò and several dignitaries visited Ms Vella. Paulina has eight children, 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is seen here cutting her birthday cake with her children.
