Four people are under arrest after a drugs haul by the police last night.

The police said 10kg of suspected cocaine were seized in an operation which lasted several months.

A Belgian couple was arrested along with two Maltese men - a 38-year-old from Birkirkara and a 41-year-old from Safi. 

They are expected to be taken to court tomorrow to face charges of importing, trafficking and been in possession of drugs. 

The arrests were made in Msida after the police tailed the Belgian couple who had arrived earlier on the catamaran from Sicily. The drug was found in the car.
