A total of 115 persons were struck off the the employment register in December.

Education and Employment Minister Dolores Cristina said that included 11 who were found working illegally, 83 who refused job offers, and 21 who turned down training.

According to figures given by the minister in Parliament, the number of persons who started registering for work for the first time in January reached 315 while 227 persons who had been registering for work found a job during the same month.
