23 PN candidates submit nomination for casual elections
Seven seats across seven districts are up for grabs
The list of Nationalist Party candidates taking part in the party’s casual elections has been finalised, with 23 candidates submitting their nominations before the deadline on Saturday.
Seven seats across seven districts are up for grabs – the 7th and 10th districts have two free seats - when the elections take place on Tuesday.
Seats have been vacated by Stephen Spiteri (3rd district), Mark Anthony Sammut (10th), Conrad Borg Manche’ (5th), Adrian Delia (7th), Rebekah Borg (7th), Joe Giglio (10th) and Alex Borg (12th) after they were elected on two districts.

Third District Seat ceded by Stephen Spiteri - Nominations: Andrew Agius, John Baptist Camilleri, Errol Cutajar, Raymond Gatt, Leone Sciberras
Tenth District Seat ceded by Mark Anthony Sammut - Nominations: Joseph Mary Aquilina, Graziella Attard Previ, Graham Bencini, David Anthony Bonello, Albert Buttigieg, Errol Cutajar, Raymond Gatt, Marija Elena Gauci, Noel Muscat
Fifth District Seat ceded by Conrad Borg Manche’ - Nominations: Duncan Borg Myatt, Stefan Caruana, Oliver Cini, Owen Sciberras, Stanley Zammit
Seventh District Seat ceded by Adrian Delia - Nominations: Andrew Agius, Charles Azzopardi, Paul Mazzola, Ian Mario Vassallo
Seventh District Seat ceded by Rebekah Borg - Nominations: Andrew Agius, Charles Azzopardi, Paul Mazzola, Ian Mario Vassallo

Meanwhile, the Labour Party’s casual elections took place on Friday, with four women and four men being elected to parliament.
