Over 20,000 people visited the 2017 edition of ŻiguŻajg last November, which featured over 150 performances and workshops.
The children's festival was spread across various venues and included 25 projects from 12 countries from three continents in a variety of creative forms ranging from theatre and film to dance and opera, circus and visual arts. Over 150 artists participated, including some from critically-acclaimed international and national companies.

Culture Minister Owen Bonnici, responding to a Parliamentary Question by MP Robert Abela, said that 44 schools sent student groups to the festival, representing 5,525 tickets. A further 7,398 people bought tickets while 7,800 attended free events.
Although he did not give figures, the minister said that attendance was increasing every year.
