The UEFA Executive Committee will hold its first meeting of the year at its headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, this Wednesday and Thursday. UEFA's executive body, chaired by president Michel Platini, will be asked to make a decision on the host venues for the 2010/11 finals of the Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. Last March, UEFA selected the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid and the Arena Hamburg for hosting duties of the Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals in 2009/10. The Cham-pions League final will be played on a Saturday for the first time in 2010.
