The police embarked on a process to deport 28 people found living in Malta irregularly on Wednesday.

In a statement, they said the people – who are from Ghana, Gambia, Afghanistan and Indonesia, were found in the Marsa/Ħamrun area.

Several immigration raids have been carried out by the police in recent days leading to the deportation of a number of people living in Malta without the necessary papers.
